Description:
This training builds the skills and knowledge to operate a professional and transparent accounting function, including functional accounting and cost allocation; accounting for contributions; prapering and presenting reports; managing resources; prapering for audits; managing risk and accountability and transparency. Facilitator: Mr. Alan Strand, Principal, has nine years of experience in nonprofit accounting and reporting, as well as consulting, training and systems development. His expertise is grounded in a keen understanding of the mission-based work of nonprofits and of their unique accounting, reporting and decision-making needs. Mr. Strand launched Strand and Associates in Winter 2008 to help nonprofit organizations manage, report on and make decisions about their resources in a more efficient and informed manner.
