Bridget McTague is an elementary teacher at Hermosa Drive Elementary School in Fullerton, CA. Bridget is the Service-Learning coordinator at her school and has been certified by Youth Service California as a Service-Learning Coach.

Bridget has led her school to become the first all Service-Learning elementary school in Fullerton. She was instrumental in implementing an all staff Service-Learning training at Hermosa Drive Elementary. Bridget represented her school at the California School Board Association Conference where her school was honored with a Golden Bell award for their Learn-Serve-Achieve school-wide Service-Learning program. Bridget has engaged parents and educators in creating a Service-Learning school that was selected as a California Distinguished School. Bridget has designed and implemented successful Service-Learning projects with her own students. She provides Service-Learning support, resources and guidance for the staff at Hermosa Drive Elementary. She is a member of the Orange County Service-Learning Consortium and has provided leadership on developing flyers and website information for Volunteer Center Orange County. She has led Service-Learning workshops locally and for statewide Service-Learning Conferences. Bridget has not only done training but has provided expertise on project ideas and planning, resources and developed successful sample lessons and reflection activities. Bridget’s leadership helped create the Learn-Serve-Achieve program that has strengthened parent/community partnership through the development of classroom and/or grade level Service-Learning projects to meet identified needs in the community
